Our Founder
Vira was founded by Shruti Viradia, a certified Sexologist and Ayurvedic Health Coach, passionate about helping people bridge the gap between sensuality and wellness. Growing up as an Indian American woman, Shruti noticed the lack of transparency about sexual health and self-care within her community.
After navigating her sexual journey on her own, Shruti realized she needed to create a safe space for those like her to express and explore sexuality and wellness, especially in cultural backgrounds where self-care and sex-care are often suppressed and neglected. This inspired her to create Vira, a brand that celebrates sensuality, promotes self-care, and harnesses the healing powers of plant-based formulas rooted in ancient South Asian Ayurvedic practices.
As Shruti embarked on her wellness journey, she encountered challenges with existing products that caused irritation and imbalance. Her desire for transparency and natural ingredients led her to develop Vira's formulas, prioritizing skin and sexual health.
